Tharaka-Nithi

Tharaka Nithi county borders Embu, Meru and Kitui Counties. It covers an area of 2,662.1 Km2 including 360 Kmof Mt Kenya forest. Administratively the County is sub-divided into five sub-counties of Tharaka North, Tharaka South, Chuka, Igambango’mbe and Maara. The County has 15 electoral wards. According to the 2019, Population census, it is estimated that Tharaka Nithi County has a population of 391,303.
